The interior can be seen blackened by soot with the toilets themselves ruined.

The council says it is checking the damage before knowing how long it will be before they can reopen.

It has also asked anyone with information to hand it to police.

It is not the first time the conveniences have been damaged.

In 2020, a car was abandoned after it crashed into the side of the building.

The collision took out a length of fencing before the car came to rest facing the wrong way outside the building.
