For anyone stuck for a Christmas present idea – Lee Ewart has the perfect solution.

He organised the Sunset Seaside Stroll in August and has now had calendars produced as a memory of the walk.

They contain photos – one for each month – which were snapped by people who took part in the five-mile trek from The Leas, Minster, to Queenborough.

The front cover features an image of the 60 or so fundraisers on the starting line and a poem which was put together by members of the Fun for Life Facebook page.

Calendars cost £5.99 each and all money raised will go towards Cancer Research UK, adding to the £700 collected on the day.

Mr Ewart, 49, of Manor Road, Rushenden, said: “I’m really pleased with them.

“I thought it would be a nice way to memorise the walk and carry on raising money.

“They will make a lovely Christmas present and look great on anybody’s wall.”

Jenwoods Printers made up the calendars, which have the date of next year’s walk – Saturday, August 9 – printed on them.

Calendars are available at Sheppey Community Media Centre, off Royal Road, Sheerness, or contact Mr Ewart on 07932211083 or email fun4life@btinternet.com
