Council approves recruitment programme

SIXTEEN new jobs will be filled by Medway Council after the Cabinet decided recruitment should go ahead.

The portfolio holders had previously agreed to freeze non-essential jobs as a cost saving measure. But after examining them the 16 were approved by councillors.

They include a geography information assistant, a gardener and a switchboard supervisor.
