Aimee Smith supported The Haemophilia Society to the tune of £438 at the adrenaline event and scooped the star prize of an iPad mini 2 as her reward. She was presented with the device by Fern Hugill, PR and social media manager of True Telecom, during a prize giving ceremony at the company’s offices in Dartford.

The KM Assault Course Challenge was staged by the KM Charity Team at Betteshanger Country Park near Deal on Saturday, October 3. Thirty seven teams from across the county tackled 19 obstacles including water jumps, tunnels and a rope walk to raise £15,000 for 23 good causes beating last year’s total by a clear £1,000.

The event which was supported by London Fancy Box and Swanstaff Recruitment split funds raised 70/30 between each team’s nominated charity and the KM Charity Team’s road safety services for children.

Aimee said: “I had a great time taking part in the Assault Course in aid of The Haemophilia Society; it was such a fantastic event and great fun. I'm overwhelmed by winning the iPad mini for being highest individual fundraiser and would like to say a big thank you to True Telecom and the KM Charity Team.”

Stuart Griffiths, CEO of True Telecom, said: “Congratulations to Aimee for raising a great deal of money for two fantastic causes – we hope she enjoys the iPad. We are always delighted to work with the KM Charity Team and support the local community in Kent.”
