Two teenagers have appeared in court accused of raping a woman in her home.

The boys, who are both 17 and can't be named for legal reasons, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The pair were charged in connnection with an incident which happened in Gillingham on Friday, June 2.

The teenagers who are from the Sittingbourne and Canterbury areas didn't enter any plea in relation to the charge they both face.

The case was adjourned until Thursday, June 8 when they will appear before a youth court at the same court.

It is expected they will both enter pleas in relation to the rape charge when they appear.

Both teenagers were granted conditional bail until then.
