Maidstone: Warning after lawnmowers and power tools stolen

Police are warning residents to secure outbuildings after lawnmowers and power tools were stolen in Maidstone.

Between Thursday and Friday a Husqvarna sit-on lawn mower and trailer were stolen from an address in Chegworth Road, near Harrietsham, after a container was broken into.

Between last Saturday and Friday a lawnmower, power tools and a garden strimmer was taken from a shed In Pheasant Lane, Loose.

Kent Police are urging property owners to take simple security steps, such as making sure sheds are secure and valuable machinery is locked away.

Using UV pens to mark property, taking photographs and registering them on databeses such as www.immobilise.com is also encouraged.
