Crews attend lounge fire

A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a house.

The man was given medical assistance by firefighters who attended the small blaze at the home in Church Road, Cranbrook.

The flames started in the lounge at about 2.35pm yesterday. Crews cleared the smoke and left the scene just before 3.30pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
