CARETAKER Welling joint-manager Chris Moore has made his first signing after securing the signature of Francis Duku from Bromley.

The towering defender, who played with Moore at Gravesend, was part of the Fleet's Ryman League Premier Division winning squad and has previous Blue Square South experience with Lewes.

Moore said: "We did have four centre-halves at one stage but with Tony Sinclair injured, Stuart Nethercott leaving, John Wilfort joining Tonbridge and myself suspended for two games we needed cover."

Duku is expected to make his Welling debut at high-flying Bishop's Stortford on Saturday.

Duku made 80 appearances for Bromley after joining them in 2006 from Fisher.

Moore is also hoping to make a further signing in time for the trip to Bishop's Stortford.
