Stoke refuse match date change

GILLINGHAM'S hopes to switch their Championship clash with Stoke City have been dashed by the Potters.

Gills wanted to switch their Tuesday, March 15 clash at Priestfield to Saturday, January 29 – the date of the FA Cup fourth round matches which neither side are involved in.

But Stoke have declined and the game will go ahead on its original date.
