GERARD GREENE has fallen at the first stage of this year’s British Open snooker championship in Brighton.

The Rainham cueman was beaten 5-1 by Stuart Bingham.

Greene, the world number 26, will be hoping to find his form when he takes on Jimmy Michie in the opening round of the Travis Perkins UK Championships, starting on Monday at the Barbican Centre in York.
