MIKE SKINNER finished fourth in the BUPA Great Edinburgh International Race – just five seconds behind winner Andy Baddeley (Harrow AC).

Blackheath & Bromley runner Skinner finished the men’s 4.4km race on Saturday in 12min57sec while team-mate Scott Overall wasn’t far behind in 10th (13.13).

Skinner was following up from the Belfast International UK Cross Challenge, where he finished as top Briton with another fourth-place finish.

The 28-year-old was competing in his first race of the 2008 calendar. The winner of the event was Ugandan Moses Kipsiro.
