Former Ebbsfleet player John Akinde enjoyed a dream debut for Bristol City last night.

Akinde came off the bench to inspire City's comeback in a 2-2 draw against Plymouth.

With City trailing 2-0, Akinde pulled a goal back before fellow substitute David Noble equalised.

Akinde, a product of Fleet's youth system, made a £150,000 move to Bristol City during the last transfer window.

He said: "I wanted to come on and make an impact and that's what I did. I couldn't have asked for a better start than that.

"I'm just pleased to have had a chance and done well. Now it's up to the manager to decide whether I stay in the squad."

City boss Gary Johnson added: "I thought John made his presence felt from the moment he came on.

"He still has a lot to learn and it's early days for John. But he can be pleased with his first game."
