Motorbiker dies in crash on A228 at Snodland

A motorcyclist has died and his pillion passenger is fighting for her life after a crash with a lorry on the A228 at Snodland.

Police closed the road at the Ham Hill roundabout and Rockford Road after the crash, which saw the lorry crash at around 11.40am today.

The pillion passenger was taken to Kings College Hospital in London by air ambulance, where she is said to have life-threatening injuries. The driver of the lorry was unharmed.

Drivers were earlier advised to avoid the Snodland area, but the road closures have now been lifted.
