Folkestone Invicta moved out of the Ryman League Premier Division relegation zone after a 1-1 with playoff-chasing AFC Hornchurch at the Buzzlines Stadium on Tuesday night.

On-loan Allan Tait (pictured) scored his first goal in his second spell with the club, curling home superbly to put the hosts ahead on 29 minutes, however the Essex side grabbed a share of the points with a deflected shot past Jack Delo four minutes into the second half.

Invicta leapfrogged Maidstone United who allowed a 2-1 lead to slip to a 4-2 defeat at home to Cray Wanderers.

The Wands took the lead on 23 minutes through Steve Lozano only for Adrian Stone to level on the half-hour.

Tommy Whitnell put the hosts ahead on 57 minutes just two minutes after coming on, but Cray were level six minutes later through ex-Stone Chris Saunders and two goals in the final 11 minutes from Danny Phillips and red-hot Laurent Hamici took the visitors up to fifth in the table.

Tonbridge Angels missed out on the chance to move into the top six after playing out a 1-1 draw at home to Margate.

Dan Stubbs put the visitors ahead in the eighth minute at Longmead, but Lee Browning earned a share of the points shortly after the hour mark.

In Ryman League Division 1 South Faversham Town overcame Chatham Town 2-1 at the Shepherd Neame Stadium to go 12th, one place behind the Chats.

Alex Waugh opened the scoring on 21 minutes and Damian Abel made the game safe 25 minutes from time, though Leroy Huggins grabbed a consolation in injury-time.

Ramsgate slipped to fifth-bottom after going down 2-0 to leaders Leatherhead at Southwood courtesy of two goals in the first 11 minutes.

Sittingbourne jumped up to fifth after overcoming Whitstable Town 2-0 at Bourne Park thanks to second-half goals from Tom Bradbrook and Jaie Nuttall after Paul Semakula missed a first-half penalty.

The Oystermen remain entrenched in the bottom three with the gap between them and fourth-bottom Walton & Hersham now seven points.
