Man charged with murder after woman's body found in Oakwood Avenue Beckenham

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found with head injuries at her home.

David McCorkell, 54, was arrested on Tuesday after Diane Dyer was found unresponsive in her home in Oakwood Avenue, Beckenham, last Thursday, July 18.

McCorkell, 54, of Beckenham Road, Penge has since been charged with the murder of 61-year-old Mrs Dyer.

He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and is due to appear at Bromley Magistates' court later today.

A post-mortem examination took place on Friday, July 19 and Mrs Dyer's cause of death was given as blunt force trauma to the head and face.
