Driver dies in three-vehicle crash

A CAR driver in his 40s was killed in a crash on one of Kent's busiest roads.

The tragedy happened at around 6pm on Wednesday on the Thanet Way between Whitstable and Faversham.

The man who died came from Sittingbourne. His blue Rover 200 car collided with a blue Kia Pincanto jand then travelled further along the road where it collided with a double decker bus.

The victim died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

The London-bound carriageway was closed soon after the incident and was kept shut until just after 9am this morning due to a slippery road surface needing to be cleared.
