Couple throw stone and water bomb at 12-year-old girl's face

A 12-year-old girl has had a large stone and water bomb thrown at her FACE in a random attack by a couple.

The youngster was riding her bike in Folkestone when she spotted a red car parked at the side of the road.

A woman in the passenger seat had a water bomb, which she threw at the girl, and a man getting into the driver's seat then threw a large stone - hitting her in the face.

It happened near in Canterbury Road, near St Saviours Church, at 5.30pm yesterday.

The woman is described as black, in her 20s and with afro-style hair.

The driver was a black man, aged 20 to 25, with short spiked black hair.

Kent Police said the attack is being treated as unprovoked and would like to trace the couple in the car.

Witnesses or anyone with information are urged to phone Kent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
