The body of a woman has been found on the beach at Cliftonville.
A passerby discovered the body - which was on the beach near a slipway at the Eastern Esplanade - at around 6.50am Saturday.
Police say she is believed to be a 35-year-old woman from Margate, and that the death is unexplained and inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.
The coroner has been informed.
