Man charged after bank robbery in Dartford High Street

A man has been charged after a bank robbery in Dartford.

Police were called to the bank in the High Street after a man entered the premises and used a knife to threaten a member of staff.

The suspect is reported to have stolen a quantity of cash from a till before leaving on Friday February 4 at around 3pm.

Officers carried out several enquiries, including a review of CCTV and a man was arrested on Sunday February 6.

Roy Sinclair, 43, of Otterden Street, London, has since been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Mr Sinclair appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday February 7, and was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, March 7.
